    Short Description of Organization:

Haverford and Bryn Mawr College students prepare the course curricula, devise and teach the science labs, and work with small groups of high school and middle school students as writing tutors. The MAST Program is designed to give students the opportunity to experience the exciting world of college first-hand, while improving their skills in scientific observation, critical thinking, and writing. In MAST, high school and middle school students work in small groups of two to three with their tutor. As a result, each student has the opportunity to explore his or her own interests in science and writing. The program runs 10 Saturdays in the spring semester; lunch and SEPTA transportation are provided for students accepted into MAST.
