  • Attempting to bridge the technology gender gap in industry, the Women in Aerospace and Technology Program (WATP) offers a fun and educational hands-on program where girls engage in sessions in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Each year the girls explore a different topic:

    Physics of Flight (Grade 3)
    Space Exploration (Grade 4)
    Energy (Grade 5)
    Chemistry (Grade 6)
    Mechanical Engineering (Grade 7)
    Computer Coding (Grade 8)
    Robotics (Grades 9-12)

    Each session is mentored by female college students in the STEM fields from local universities. In turn, the female college students are mentored by volunteer regional industry leaders.
